The Lwanga Challenge - a final follow up.

This item was filled under [ IQ Certification Process, The Lwanga Challenge ]

It’s been a busy week at IAIDQ Towers, and in Day-Job Villas as well (not to mention that personal life I read so much about on Wikipedia - urban myth I fear), so we didn’t get around to updating the blog with the winner of our Travel Mug.
Thanks to Jim Harris of the OCDQBlog.com for [...]

Another quick update on the “Lwanga Challenge”

This item was filled under [ IQ Certification Process, The Lwanga Challenge ]

Phew… it’s been a busy few hours.
First off, Lwanga has matched all the donations that were made between the 1st May and the 9th May, a total of US$430 (I’d chipped in $20 earlier in April to “warm the pot” just to clarify things).
That brings our total Chipin Donations on this leg of the fund-raising [...]

A really big thank you to everyone who donated and shared kind words, and a particularly big thank you to Daniel Gent on Data Quality [...]

Yet more donations coming in, and more words of encouragement and support

This item was filled under [ Fundraising, Perspectives, The Lwanga Challenge ]

The ‘Lwanga Challenge’ seems to have struck a chord with information quality practitioners at the front-line.
As of the time of writing we have raised US$400 on this round of fundraising, bringing the total raised to date from individuals in the Community - not vendors but real ‘coal face’ practitioners to US$3052 - all of which goes directly [...]

At the time of writing, we’ve raised just over US$300 for the Certified Information Quality Professional [...]

Daniel says:
The International Association of Information and Data Quality has been raising funds for a noble [...]

A touching comment

This item was filled under [ IQ Certification Process, The Lwanga Challenge ]

One of the recent donors to the CIQP fundraising efforts left a comment on our Chipin.com page which I felt I just had to share with you.
I gladly support this initiative because it is a tremendous opportunity for all the IQ professionals in the world to get the acknowledgement they deserve! I simply cannot wait [...]

CIQP - why it matters to me.

This item was filled under [ Fundraising, Perspectives ]

First off, I want to be up front and clear about my motivations for writing this post. Yes, I’m the Publicity Director for the IAIDQ. Yes, I’m one of the fund raising team working on the efforts to develop the CIQP certification. Neither of those facts is a secret, and indeed I am proud of [...]
